Submitted by Connie Maddock | 04/02/2025

As a leading Facilities Management company, Vertas Group support World Cancer Day by launching their new 2025 Exec Experiences and reflecting on another year of fundraising for their chosen charity, Cancer Research UK (CRUK).

An incredible £28,600.00 was raised in 2024, bringing the total to a staggering £77,279.31 raised for CRUK to date. By demonstrating the power of teamwork, endurance and compassion, the company highlights the difference made by colleagues towards the charity last year.

The company is keen to recognise that this whole group effort would not have been possible without the enthusiasm and generosity of its colleagues and extends its gratitude to all who have participated, donated, and volunteered.

Vertas Group hope to not only meet but succeed in these efforts in 2025 by surpassing the £100,000.00 target, continuing to positively impact the lives of those in need.

Last year, the Exec Experiences initiative saw Vertas Group Directors and colleagues take part in five unique challenges. These include a Ryder Cup golf tournament, a half marathon, a cycling challenge through the Derbyshire hills, a climb up Mount Snowdon and climbing a Scottish Graham, Ben Venue.

This year’s challenges include a Coast-to-Coast E-bike ride from Cumbria to Newcastle, an abseil in Millers Dale, Derbyshire, an Orwell walk, the challenging Great Birmingham Run, a muddy Whole Hog race, and a two-day long-distance Suffolk Coastal walk.

Speaking about the achievement and year ahead, Ian Surtees M.B.A, FIoD, Group Chief Executive Officer, Suffolk Group Holdings (Trading as Vertas Group Limited), said:

We are excited to launch our new Exec Experiences for 2025 and exceed our £100,000.00 target. I am immensely proud of what we’ve achieved so far for Cancer Research UK. Our fundraising efforts last year have not only brought our leadership and colleagues closer together but have also proved a great way of engaging colleagues at geographically diverse locations. All while contributing to a cause that touches the lives of so many.

As Vertas Group continues to grow, the company remains committed to the local communities in which it operates. It strives to maintain a culture where making a positive impact is as much of a priority as reaching business milestones.
