Vertas Group has completed its third event for its social value initiative, Exec Experiences, with a sixty km bike ride in Derbyshire.
The initiative, led by Kate Innes, Vertas Group’s Chief People Officer, builds on the success of previous Exec Experience events. On the 12th of September, fourteen colleagues came together to demonstrate the power of teamwork and shared purpose, supporting Cancer Research UK.
The ride was broken into two stages: in the morning, the team covered the first leg before stopping for a much-needed lunch break. After recharging, colleagues pushed on for the final stretch, completing the challenge in just under 5 hours.
To participate, colleagues were required to raise a minimum of £100, and the team is delighted to have raised a total of £4,134.85 for the event so far.
The combined effort not only highlighted the team’s remarkable generosity but also united colleagues from across the Group. Vertas Group is proud to support such an important cause and is grateful to its colleagues who participated.
Keep an eye out for updates on Vertas Group’s next event as the team passes the baton to Jamie Smith, Vertas Group’s Chief Finance Officer, as he leads a group of colleagues in the Ipswich Half Marathon.

Kate Innes, Group Chief People Officer Vertas Group, said: “We are delighted our Derbyshire Bike Ride Exec Experiences event was such a success. It’s been incredibly heartwarming to see our colleagues come together and cover such an impressive distance on the bikes for a cause so important to us.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed. Our collective effort has made a significant impact and we’re so proud of our team!
Now, as we pass the baton to the next Exec Experiences event, we wish those gearing up for the Ipswich Half Marathon the best of luck. Thank you once again for your incredible support.”
