Vertas honours its colleagues for making the difference

Vertas Group was proud to host its 7^th Making the Difference Awards on Friday 18^th November at Milsoms, Kesgrave Hall, for 200 attendees.

The annual awards celebrate colleagues of the organisation for their achievements throughout the year. Colleagues are nominated by their peers, by customers and by suppliers of the Group, for a variety of awards such as ‘Team of the Year’ and ‘Inspiring Leader’. There are 10 awards in total, with the winners receiving a £200 voucher, a trophy and a certificate.

Wholly funded by suppliers, the awards also raise money for Vertas Group’s chosen charity Cancer Research UK through a raffle and auction. This year a cheque was presented to the charity for £3,484 – a result of the organisation’s fundraising efforts from the last year.

The Group was proud to welcome attendees from all the companies that made the ceremony possible by sponsoring the event, including platinum sponsor Bidfood. Gold sponsors included DCS, S R Calver, Inviron, Langley, BCN Group, McCain Food Service Solutions and Blue Arrow.

Each year the Operational Board and I are overwhelmed with the quantity and quality of nominations we receive from all areas of the business. Our sincere thanks to everyone who took the time to submit a nomination and well done to those who were nominated but didn’t quite make the finalist shortlist.”
