Vertas Group sponsor Suffolk New College annual award ceremony

Vertas Group is pleased to have been a silver sponsor at the annual Suffolk New College Showcase Celebration and Awards evening.

The awards are dedicated to celebrating the outstanding achievements of learners from the past year and spotlight Suffolk New College’s amazing colleague community.

With an award for every course up for grabs, the night was a fantastic opportunity to reward the class of 2024 for their hard work and dedication.

For those lucky enough to attend the event, it was a wonderful evening, with entertainment and food to enjoy throughout the ceremony. We are thrilled to have contributed to the event and would like to extend our congratulations to all the award winners.

It was a great privilege to attend the evening, and as a Group, we were proud to be a silver sponsor of the event. Our colleague, Aaron Hughes was on hand to present the Horticulture and Landscaping student award on behalf of the company.

Aaron Hughes, People Business Partner, said: “I had a great opportunity to speak to the winner of the award throughout the evening. He is very passionate about pursuing a career in horticulture and landscaping. His goal is to set up his own business one day, and I have no doubt he will achieve that.

I heard amazing feedback from his tutor on the quality of his work and it was amazing to speak to someone who has such a clear vision of what he wants for the future. I hope that when his studies are finished, we can explore if there are any opportunities for him to join our grounds maintenance team at Vertas as the next step on his journey.”
