Vertas Group receive Community Partner Award

After supporting ASSET Education Trust with a number of projects, Vertas Group has received recognition for its commitment to the local community.

The ASSET Celebration evening, held on Tuesday, June 25th, is dedicated to honouring the work of volunteers across the trust’s school communities. Vertas Group has worked with ASSET on several initiatives and is delighted to have been presented with the Community Partner Award.

This award reflects the hard work and dedication of our colleagues across the business who have contributed to the partnership. From providing catering for the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme to engaging our transport team to deliver the prepared food, colleagues have poured their passion into every project.

Since first collaborating with the Trust, colleagues have consistently gone above and beyond to support student’s education. Most recently, the company hosted a group of Asset alumni for a series of workshops aimed at helping the students develop a business plan for their ‘People Park’ project.

Susan Mahoney, Lead for Education Catering, has worked on all of these initiatives and was delighted to collect the award on behalf of the company. These projects include a live cooking demonstration and a fun-filled ‘What’s my name?’ activity at Holton St Peter Primary School. Furthermore, Susan revisited the school in June to host an interactive smoothie bike session.

Our Commitment to the Local Community

Vertas Group endeavours to give back to its local communities where possible. We are thrilled to see our colleagues receive recognition for their efforts and are tremendously proud. We aim to prioritise initiatives that promote well-being, education, and development in our community and are delighted to contribute to young people’s learning.

Our core value of partnership remains a priority, and we aim to work alongside others to create lasting change. As we celebrate the team and their efforts, which have earned The Community Partner Award, the company remains more motivated than ever to continue its work with the Trust.

Keith Buet, Chief Operating Officer, said, “Partnership is a core value and one we strive to incorporate into our work where possible. It is a pleasure to have colleagues who consistently go above and beyond for our partners, and this award truly highlights the positive impact our efforts have on those around us. We are incredibly proud of our colleagues and the work they have done to receive this award, it serves as inspiration for us all to continue making a difference.”
