We are pleased to share that Jackie Sweeney, Vertas Group Head of Kitchen at Hewett Academy has been selected as a finalist in the Contract Catering StrEATfood Awards 2022!
The StrEATfood Awards searches for the UK’s most creative street food chef from the workplace and event catering sectors.
This unique competition invites caterers, chefs, food/menu development chefs and unit managers from contract caterers and staff restaurants to enter and present their street food innovations to the industry.
The 16 finalists will be tasked with creating their speciality street food dish for our judges using their own ingredients. Chefs will also have to battle it out in our Technical Round using products supplied on the day, and finally, a Meat-Free Round sponsored by Quorn.

The finals takes place on 22nd September 2022 at Islington Metal Works, London.
