Vertas Group has recently upgraded the lighting system at its Ipswich head office with a cutting-edge, energy-efficient solution. This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact while fostering a more sustainable and efficient workplace.
The upgraded system features advanced control capabilities such as daylight dimming and occupancy sensors, ensuring lighting is used only when necessary. By adjusting to natural daylight levels and employee movement, the system significantly conserves energy and minimises waste. The lighting arrangements have been optimised by separating desk lighting from meeting areas, enabling tailored energy use to meet the specific needs of different workspaces. In total, 34 lights across two floors were replaced, and the control systems for 134 luminaires were enhanced as part of this upgrade.
This improvement is expected to deliver substantial energy savings, aligning perfectly with Vertas Group’s overarching sustainability goals.
