Oakpark Security Officer, Shayne Lacey, Receives Distinction Award

We are extremely proud to reveal that Shayne Lacey, a member of Oakpark Security’s Mobile Response Team, has been awarded the ‘Officers of Distinction’ accolade from the ACS Pacesetters Scheme.

The awards set out to reward Officers who have gone above and beyond in their duties and is the most prestigious recognition that field-based colleagues can receive in the security industry. The winners are selected by a panel of industry leaders and senior officers from all branches of the emergency services.

Shayne was nominated by Peter Sutton, Head of Security Services, for showing incredible bravery and public mindedness when dealing with a tragic accident that happened earlier this year. The incident involved Shayne performing resuscitation techniques on an occupant of a crashed vehicle.

Congratulations to Shayne for the courage demonstrated, achieving the ‘Officers of Distinction’ award is truly amazing.

The ACS membership is made up of contract security guarding companies who are in the top 15% benchmarking and achievement levels set by the SIA Approved Contractor Scheme.  To be a member of the ACS Pacesetter all companies must be independently accredited and reach a minimum score of +122 at their annual inspection.  Oakpark security was awarded a high score of 131 out of a possible 145 in this year’s audit which places them in the top 5% in the UK.
