Gold Eat Out Eat Well Awards

Submitted by Amelia O'Hanlon | 12/11/2019

The Constable Restaurant at Endeavour House and the Atrium Café at Landmark House have successfully achieved gold Eat Out Eat Well awards. This is the highest level of the award developed to reward caterers who make it easier for their customers to make healthy choices. The Eat Out Eat Well award is assessed by a range of Trading Standards, local Environmental Health teams and Public Health, who consider the type of food on offer, cooking methods and how the meals are promoted to customers.

The gold Eat Out Eat Well Awards at Landmark House and Endeavour House makes a full house of Vertas’ five catering venues, with Café East at Riverside, Lowestoft Offices, Café West at West Suffolk House and the Coffee Platform at Endeavour House having already been recognised for the changes they’ve made. These changes, made earlier this year, were part of a healthier options vending trial ran by Vertas and the Public Health Team at Endeavour House and include an expanded range of products, machines with convenient contactless options and more information available regarding healthier eating. Vertas and Verse managers across the estate are taking on these changes on a local basis.
