Vertas and Schools’ Choice Sponsor Raising the Bar Awards

On Wednesday 10 July, Vertas and Schools’ Choice attended the inspirational Raising the Bar Awards at Wherstead Park. The evening saw children, young people, and educational leaders come together to celebrate the educational achievements of the county.

Vertas and Schools’ Choice sponsored the Educational Leader and Setting of the Year awards; which recognises an educational leader that has developed a place for learning that has shown major improvements in the last year. This includes raising achievement as well as strong leadership and ideas that inspire others.

Winners and runners up in this category were:

• Michele Cole, Manager at Badingham Playschool
• Jamie White, Headteacher at Oulton Broad Primary School (winner)
• Helen Winn, Principal at Ipswich Academy
