Vertas Group Raises More Than £12,500 Through New Race Around the UK Challenge

Vertas Group is proud to announce that this year’s Exec Experience, Race Around the UK, has raised an incredible £12,539.50 for Cancer Research UK.

The total includes £10,349 in donations, plus an additional £2,190.50 in Gift Aid, thanks to the generosity of our employees, clients, suppliers and wider community.

Now in its third year, Exec Experiences continues to bring colleagues together through unique fundraising challenges in support of Cancer Research UK, Vertas Group’s charity partner since 2017.

This year saw the launch of a brand-new challenge, Race Around the UK, which put three Board-led teams representing The East of England, The Midlands and The North to the test.

Across June and July, 23 colleagues took on the challenge, with each team having only a limited budget, no access to digital maps and just two days to complete a mystery route through their designated region. Together, they travelled an impressive 204 miles, all while raising vital funds to support Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.

The challenge sparked plenty of friendly competition, but more importantly brought together employees, clients and suppliers from across the business, all united behind a shared goal of making a difference.

Since partnering with Cancer Research UK in 2017, Vertas Group has raised over £100,000 helping to fund pioneering research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
