Vertas Group directors are stepping up their game with a new social value initiative, hosting a number of fundraising activities and encouraging colleagues to participate.

To further Vertas Group’s commitment to social responsibility, the company are delighted to launch new fundraising initiatives.

What’s the aim?

This coming year, each director will lead a team of colleagues as they hope to raise the bar and some serious funds for the group’s chosen charity, Cancer Research UK. From a Derbyshire bike ride route to a Ryder Cup golf event, directors are challenging colleagues to join them and give back to a worthy cause.

With a set number of entries per initiative, colleagues can sign up using the company’s internal communications platform, Workvivo. In return for the funded experience and paid time off from work to complete their chosen activity, each employee will have a modest fundraising goal of £100.

As Vertas Group’s teams go the extra mile, literally and figuratively, participation in the activities will support with uniting colleagues from across the UK. Furthermore, the Exec Experiences hopes to boost collaborative connections outside of the normal day job.

Additionally, the fundraising activities will take place at various locations across the country, ensuring colleagues can eagerly join in on the action, no matter where they are based.

Whether colleagues are pedaling for purpose or jogging for generosity, each individual’s effort will play a vital role in the Group’s collective effort to make a positive impact. And, as the Vertas Group team embarks on a new year of fundraising, the company hopes this new social value initiative will support the company to exceed fundraising efforts from 2023.

Ian Surtees, MBA FIoD, Chief Executive Officer of Vertas Group: “We’re delighted to share our latest initiative in support of Cancer Research UK. Each fundraising event organised by the Group is approached with an unmatched level of enthusiasm and generosity, and we hope this new social value project will be no different. We prioritise making a positive impact on the local communities in which we operate and acknowledge the vital role businesses play in supporting the community. We hope this fantastic opportunity for colleagues to get active, raise essential funds and further our commitment to social responsibility.”

A representative at CRUK said: “Cancer Research UK are so incredibly grateful for Vertas Group’s continued partnership with us. We cannot thank the group enough for their endless determination and loyalty towards our cause. Their support is vital for us to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. Shockingly, every two minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. But thanks to supporters like Vertas Group, we are beating cancer together.”
