Vertas Group-owned Churchill Catering is delighted to announce its retention of Forestry England’s High Lodge café in Thetford Forest.

The site, surrounded by beautiful trails and mountain biking opportunities, is subject to a new ten-year contract for Churchill Catering, worth £13million.

The catering company will be investing over £300k into the café to totally refurbish the site; from new layouts, counters, flooring and furniture to seasonal offers in the location’s parlour.

High Lodge’s menu will also see a total revamp, using the best of local suppliers and reflecting the seasonality of the park itself.

Liam Swift, Associate Director – Operations, at Vertas said: “We are delighted to be extending our partnership with Forestry England at High Lodge for a further 10 years. The café, grab and go and seasonal outlet will see significant investment to give customers a new and modern dining environment, with food and drinks to satisfy todays healthy lifestyles, and a focus on fresh and local produce and suppliers.”

Matthew Jeffery, Business Development Manager, Forestry England said: “We are excited about the new food and drink offer proposed by Vertas Group owned Churchill Catering at High Lodge, Thetford Forest. Vertas’ appointment as site caterers follows a competitive tender where the service to the customer and a positive enhancement of the environment to eat in were key consideration in awarding the contract. This is an encouraging new stage in the Visitor Experience Offer at the site which is being led by Forestry England’s desire to enhance key elements and further develop collaborative work with the site-based Business Partners.”
